The articles of organization, or whatever similar document is required in your state, is the primary legal document that you will use to register your business.

  1. Contact the business entity of the state you plan to file your LLC in and determine what documents and information must be filed to register your LLC
  2. File the documents needed to register your LLC, including likely the Articles of Organization or whatever it is called in your state (you most likely can file online).
  3. If you are registering in Arizona, Nebraska, and New York, you will likely need to publish notice of the filing in a newspaper.
  4. Pay the filing fee
